Kim Tobin  

Kim Tobin is a Melbourne-based photographer, whose practice is inspired by travel, social observations of people and their possessions. During her Master of Photography Kim has investigated consumerism and plastic marine waste and its effects on the environment. She portrays the ordinary as extraordinary and challenges our perceptions of beauty and what we value.

Kim has completed a Master of Photography from RMIT University in 2023, and has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours, Photography) from Deakin University and Post Graduate Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Melbourne.  

Kim lives and works on the traditional lands of the Kulin Nation. She acknowledges and pays respect to the traditional owners of the land - always will be Aboriginal land.
