Infrared Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise (the Gold Coast Queensland) is bright and sunny, almost blinding with light to Melbournians when we visit in July, our winter. Melbourne is grey and cold whereas the Gold Coast has impossibly blue skies, intense sun and lush tropical foliage, Palm Springs style homes with names, and an outdoor lifestyle so alien to me, a southerner. Where am I? Am I still in Australia? I have captured the architecture of beachside properties in infrared to reflect their impossible beauty and retro forms in a surrealistic vision
